CHĀNJE releases an introspective rap tune, entitled, “Respect”

CHĀNJE is an up-and-coming rapper based in Sydney, Australia. Not too long ago, he released an introspective rap tune, entitled, “Respect”, produced by Wax Ecstatic.

CHĀNJE – “Respect” single

“My flow, my style is impeccable. My swagger so fresh I’m on another level. You would think I was from Mars the way I rocket. I pull up to the function dropping bombs, atomic. I’ve seen it all, seen the city take flight. I’ve soared higher than a kite but haven’t reached the greatest heights. I’m out of sight, I’ve got pinnacles I plan to reach. If faith is all I need, I might as well type up my Grammy speech. Or would that be a tease, hmm, I wonder? I’m Stone Cold but I’m still a stunner.” – lyrics

‘Respect’ finds CHĀNJE revealing that respect is earned and not given. The song is a reminder to himself of how far he has come and how far he has got to go to reach success. It’s a retrospective of the achievements he’s accomplished and a reminder to respect his talents on the journey ahead. Later, he admits that no weapon formed against him will ever prosper.

‘Respect’ contains a relatable narrative and thoughtful wordplay. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with a heavy baseline. Furthermore, “Respect” follows hot on the heels of CHĀNJE’s debut single, entitled, “Now U Know”.
