GG McG (Giulia Giannini McGauran) is best known for her work as a visual artist and photographer. Not too long ago, she released a music video for debut single, entitled, “Boom”.

“There are some feelings I’ve never been able to explore through images. As soon as I got introduced to GarageBand, those feelings popped out. The song is about the importance of saying goodbye in order to move on—less ‘Thank U, Next’, and more finding the good in goodbye.” – GG McG

For GG McG, “Boom” represents another form of communication, art for the sake of expression rather than a career pivot.

True to her palette, the bright and boisterous tune was composed on GarageBand. Shortly afterward, producer Gab Strum (a.k.a Japanese Wallpaper) added his magic touch.

Also, Konstantine Kersting (The Belligerents) mixed the song and Andrei Eremin mastered it.

GG McG exists in hyper color because she’s here to paint the musical landscape however she chooses.

If you follow anyone from Alice Ivy to The Rubens on Instagram there’s a good chance you’ve seen her work.

‘Boom’ contains a sad storyline, harmonious vocals, and lush instrumentation scented with an alternative-pop aroma.
