In his own words, Adam Wilson explains, “We wrote ‘SELFISH’ during the LA fires, when the sky was orange, the world felt like it was ending, and the algorithms felt louder than our own thoughts. @lev.daniel and I had already made a weird little indie beat from scratch; it was raw, imperfect, but had a vibe. Devan Garcia and I opened up the beat and legit went into a portal. We came out on the other side with the whole song written and recorded. ‘SELFISH’ is about being lost in the noise, chasing something real in a world built on filters and feeds. About being saved from your own selfishness and finding beauty on the other side of the chaos. We went into the ether and came back with art that we love. Hope you feel it as much as we do. Our main goal was to create real art in a world that seems to be becoming more artificial.”
