PLAZA is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Not too long ago, he released a lovely indie-R&B tune, entitled, “Use Me.”

“Told you you’d feel something, tried out his love but it don’t feel right. I’ma call a ride, I’m coming straight to you. Combing through the six, gonna see what that body do. I like you more than these other girls, you got some sh*t to prove. I don’t know why and you don’t care when it’s 3 am, you want it again. I know you got problems, I’m not here to solve them.” – lyrics

‘Use Me’ tells an intriguing tale about a young guy who shares an interesting relationship with a special woman in his life. Apparently, he doesn’t mind being used by her because he enjoys it when they stay up all night drinking and getting high together till the early morning hours. Also, he likes the fact that they don’t stop partying until all the drugs and alcohol are gone.

“She likes it when I’m f***ed up, she gonna use me. Take me down slow, control, and abuse me.”

“‘Baby, just use me.’ Barely coherent, I’ve relinquished all control to the forces and women who would like to use me for their own selfish interests. It’s a lustful understanding that both our motives are shallow and exploitative. These hedonistic conquests and superficial attention temporarily inflate my damaged ego. Until of course, the drugs wear off and the girls leave.” – PLAZA explained

‘Use Me’ contains a relatable narrative and soothing vocal melodies. The likable tune possesses downtempo, ambient instrumentation flavored with an eerie indie-R&B vibration. Furthermore, “Use Me” is featured on PLAZA’s debut album, entitled, “Nocturnes.” The 11-track project summons memories of past love and heartbreak, of betrayal, and of the hellish depths, one can fall to while trying to avenge a shattered ego.
