Grímur is an up-and-coming Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter from a small village in Iceland called Hólmavík. Not too long ago, he released “Smoke”, a bittersweet indie-folk ballad from his upcoming album.

‘Smoke’ tells a bittersweet story of a young guy who has a secret admiration for a certain young lady with who he desires to be romantical. Apparently, when she’s up close and personal, he thinks of words to say, but nothing ever comes out of his mouth pertaining to how he feels about her.
So, to not look foolish, he smiles and nods his head hoping she will say something to him. At this moment he feels like such a fool, knowing that he has blown his opportunity of obtaining what he desires the most, which is her. Years later, it saddens him to find out that she used to like him too.
‘Smoke’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and guitar-driven instrumentation perfumed with a nostalgic aroma.
