Born Akumefule Chukwuemeka George in Lagos, Blaqbonez studied Computer Engineering before fully dedicating himself to music. Known for his individuality and fearless experimentation, he fuses Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, Drill, R&B, and Alté while pushing against societal norms. His previous album, “Emeka Must Shine,” won the 2023 Headies Award for Best Rap Album and produced viral hits including “LIKE ICE SPICE” and “NO SLEEP $$$” with Young Jonn.

Over the years, Blaqbonez has collaborated with global stars such as Ludacris, Amaarae, Victony, Ayra Starr, CKay, JAE5, Yungs Teflon, and Black Sherif.
