Teri Tobin & Al Chauncy – “This Life With You”

“This Life With You” encapsulates the essence of love, admiration, and the simple joys two people experience together. The lyrics resonate deeply, conveying feelings many aspire to express in their relationships. The heartfelt lines, “I believe I was born to love you, and nothing can convince me otherwise,” summarize a devotion that leaves listeners nodding in agreement. The song continues to describe the beauty of companionship with phrases like, “Keeper of my heart, you have made this life so beautiful.”
“This Life With You” is an anthem for couples who treasure the unique bond they share. With its rhythmic bounce, the song offers a musical celebration for those deeply in love. The lyrics highlight how one person can truly transform another’s life. “Can’t nobody else love me like you do,” emphasizes that there is no substitute for genuine love. The mention of being a “Protector of my soul and peace provider” underlines the partners’ role in each other’s lives, filled with friendship and unconditional support.
In her own words, Teri Tobin explains, “I LOVE love when it’s right and always wanted to take out the time to celebrate it. I fell for Al’s voice the very first time I heard him years ago, so I had to get him on. Truly a beautiful musical marriage of the Soulstresss and The Superman of Soul.”
Overall, “This Life With You” is a love letter set to music. It encourages us to appreciate the wonderful lives we build with our loved ones and reminds us that, ultimately, it’s really about spending this life with your partner because, other than that, nothing compares.
“I love the way you love me.”

Teri Tobin’s artistry may be the most mature work to date by a talent who brought you the critically acclaimed “Love Infinity” (Sōl 2 Kēp Entertainment) and “So Good To Me” (Sōl 2 Kēp Entertainment).
Tobin has been cooing in key since coming out of the womb. As with many of the soul greats she admires, from Donny Hathaway to Marvin Gaye, Tobin’s training and early performances began standing flatfoot in front of the pews and belting past the church steeple.
After graduating from high school and a brief ATL move, Tobin had been promised a solo deal that never materialized, before finally landing at Howard University during a particularly charmed period in DC. A member of HU’s famed Chorale, Tobin shared stages with Patti Labelle and Luther Vandross and was part of history when the Chorale performed with icons like Diana Ross at President Clinton’s Inaugural Gala, later background work with Mica Paris, Chico DeBarge and Chante Moore and a SoulTracks Reader’s Choice Awards nomination.
