“I’m so exquisite but I’m sad today and I can’t pick up the phone. I sit at home and swear to God I’m ok ‘cause I did it on my f**kin’ own. So I spend my time getting so damn high and I don’t feel good like I thought I would.” – lyrics
‘So Damn High’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and rich harmonies. Also, the likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation scented with a contemporary R&B aroma. Furthermore, “So Damn High” tells a heartfelt tale of a young woman who spends her time getting high. However, her experience isn’t what she wished-for.

“When I first wrote ‘So Damn High’ I was feeling super low and defeated. We live in a world where everything seems to be wrong and all we do is yell at each other about it. (I’ve definitely participated in the yelling). But after a while, it all starts to feel pretty redundant and hopeless. I’ve dealt with my fair share of bad coping mechanisms from addictive drugs and alcohol to excessive eating and working out to extreme dieting, etc. Also, I know that others struggle too, often dealing with way worse things. People may act fine but old patterns die hard.” – Tatiana Woods
Tatiana Woods began singing at a young age in nursing homes with her family. Since then, she has performed on stage in countless theatre productions across the country. “So Damn High” is featured on her latest EP, entitled, “The Race”.
