TAPZ is a New York-based newcomer from Zimbabwe but raised in New Zealand. Not too long ago, he released a motion video for his dreamy hip-hop tune, entitled, “Juice”.

TAPZ – “Juice” motion video

“‘Juice’ compares the exploitation of black culture to orange juice, through a first-person account of my own experiences. Playing on the concept of having the ‘juice’, a phrase popularized by social media. I aim to turn the tables, taking ownership of my individuality, and distancing myself from anyone that denied me of my voice/juice. I’ve always had the juice, it’s just that now people wanna drink from the fountain.” – TAPZ

“Juice” is a delicious lead single from TAPZ’s upcoming project.

The likable tune contains a relatable storyline, harmonious rap vocals, and slow-burning instrumentation flavored with hip-hop, R&B, and alternative-rock elements.

“‘Juice’ speaks on how black culture is commoditized by society in 2019, and TAPZ wants the song to start a conversation.”

Not too long ago, the bubbly entertainer was scouted by G.O.O.D Music. Also, he has worked with likes of Lorde, A$AP Ferg, and more.

Therefore, he’s looking to make a mark this year, so keep a close eye as he moves towards his next project.
