Swim Fan – “Cruise” single

“First ya drag me in, then ya cut me off. Now there’s somethin’ ’bout us lately, is there something that turned you off? Just give me a second, before ya go away. I’ve never met somebody like you. And while I’ve gotcha, baby, please don’t drive away. I’ve never had a good night, a good night cruise.” – lyrics

‘Cruise’ tells an intriguing tale about a young guy who shares a challenging relationship with his significant other. Apparently, he feels there’s nothing between them because of something he probably said. With a heavy heart, he asks his partner, “Is there someone else who turns you on.”

‘Cruise’ contains a relationship-based narrative and pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of ABBA, Neon Indian, and Empire of the Sun. The likable tune possesses saturated drums and groovy bass-laden instrumentation flavored with indietronica, alternative, and electro-pop elements. Furthermore, “Cruise” is the lead single from Swim Fan’s upcoming EP, entitled, “Do U Mind?” The project is set to be released on June 9th, 2023.

“Did I say too much? Did I come off too strong?”

They have been known to weave dreams of pop and waves of synth, perfect psych-tinged sounds for a punch bowl rooftop party. Their influences include velvet curtains, old VHS tapes, and the one who got away.
