SUBURBS (Dave, Mac, and Jake) is a musical trio from Toronto, Canada. Not too long ago, they released a heartfelt emo-pop tune, entitled, “Half Healed.”
SUBURBS – “Half Healed” single
“‘Half Healed’ is about working through past trauma and hurt. While you still might not be healed from it, you’re stronger than you might let yourself believe. And one day, you’ll be able to continue on and not be held back by it.” – SUBURBS explained
‘Half Healed’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals. The emotive tune possesses piano-laden instrumentation flavored with indie and emo-pop elements. Furthermore, “Half Healed” is featured on SUBURBS’ five-track sophomore EP, entitled, “Holding It Together.”
SUBURBS is not a place, but an idea. Something that lives in both the ideal and the outskirts of a dream. A collective of thought. A community with no boundaries, bringing people together through artistic expression. After years of playing different styles of music in a variety of settings, the trio decided to come together to write and produce a new sound of their own. Their love for catchy melodies, storytelling-lyricism, and entrenched groove lead them to self-produce their debut EP, entitled, The Sweet Nothing, in 2020.
