‘On My Mama’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who is approached by a guy who she doesn’t know. Apparently, he claims he knows her because they are from the same neighborhood. However, she never met him or seen his face before. Therefore, she decides to keep it moving instead of entertaining his unsolicited conversation. Furthermore, the lush music video finds Sherley Gene riffing in front of a wall of books. The artist-to-watch is wearing an all-black outfit with dark shades to match.
