Rainee Blake is a singer-songwriter/actress based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released “That’s the Way”, a ‘70s-inspired soul ballad from her “Fool for Love” EP.

Rainee Blake – “That’s the Way”

“This song is about a time when I questioned someone’s love, weighing up his actions with the feelings reflected in his heart. A sweet longing for someone always just out of reach.” – Rainee Blake

‘That’s the Way’ tells a bittersweet tale of a woman who explores the uncertain push and pull of a love affair which ends in the admission of wanting at least only temporary love.

‘That’s the Way’ contains a relatable storyline, sweet soul vocals, and lush acoustic instrumentation flavored with a nostalgic vibration. Also, the song steps away from Blake’s country roots, and her sound fits somewhere in-between the musical realms of Amy Winehouse and Roberta Flack.
