Phantoms (Kyle Kaplan and Vinnie Pergola) is an electronic duo based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, they and Sarah Close released an adorable dance tune, entitled, “Moonlight”, via Casablanca Records/Republic Records.
Phantoms and Sarah Close – “Moonlight” single
“Twilight, and I see you walk across the room. Catch your fever, oh, there’s something pulling me to you. Now we’re rolling with the waves like lovers do. Come on run into the night, we’re ’bout to lose. I wanna be dancin’, dancin’, dancin’, dancin’ underneath the moonlight. Get lost in all the flashing lights ’cause when they die we only got the sunrise. And all I wanna think about is thinkin’ ’bout nothing with you.” – lyrics
‘Moonlight’ tells a charming tale of a young woman who is enjoying herself at a social gathering. Suddenly, a guy who she doesn’t know enters the room, and shortly afterward they are having a deep conversation. Apparently, she doesn’t want him to ask her any more questions because what she wants to do is to dance with him under the moonlight.
‘Moonlight’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-welcoming vocals, and harmonious melodies. Also, the feel-good tune possesses vibrant instrumentation beautifully flavored with electro-pop and modern dance elements. Furthermore, “Moonlight” is the title track of Phantoms’ brand-new EP, entitled, MOONLIGHT. The pair preceded the project with the single “Want To Know” last month. It set the tone for the EP by blurring the lines between late-night electronic moods and big pop hooks.
“All I wanna think about is thinkin’ ’bout nothing with you.”
