Bottomless Tears

“Bottomless Tears” is a mid-tempo heartbreak anthem that blends soulful vocals, electric guitar, and vintage keys, offering a deeply vulnerable take on love lost and the coping mechanisms we turn to.

Onoleigh mourns the shattered dreams of a life she envisioned with the man she loves. With lines like, “Cheers to all the memories that I’ll miss, holidays, and graduations of our future kids,” the song masterfully captures the raw emotions of heartbreak while putting a fresh spin on a classic Country trope: the drinking song.

In her own words, Onoleigh shares, “There’s nothing more Country than raising a glass to heartache, and this is my version.” With “Bottomless Tears,” Onoleigh continues to build on her growing momentum, captivating listeners with powerhouse vocals and vivid storytelling that bridge the gap between Nashville and Los Angeles.

Onoleigh, a 26-year-old Mahomet, IL, native, has spent the past few years in Nashville honing her sound and mastering her craft, but her story had begun years before. As early as 16, Onoleigh began making frequent trips to Music City, where she was quickly accepted into the Broadway circuit. She cut her teeth playing cover songs for tourists and learned to keep their attention with her powerful stage presence and stunning vocals. Early champions including singer/songwriter John Oates (of Hall & Oates) and session musician David Dorn helped her build her creative communities and find her voice in the writing room.

Fast forward to 2024, Onoleigh traveled to LA for a writing trip with hit-making writer/producer Emile Ghantous (Pitbull, Chris Brown, Boys II Men). Together, the two churned out a collection of songs that perfectly encapsulated the sound Onoleigh had been working toward: high-energy, explosive pop production coupled with heartfelt Country lyrics.

Back in Nashville, Onoleigh added her beloved organic instrumentation to the songs with the help of some of Nashville’s most acclaimed studio musicians. In 2024, she cemented her reputation as one of Country music’s most promising voices. With over 700,000 global streams and editorial playlist spots with CMT Music’s The Roundup, ACM’s Fresh Music Friday, and Spotify’s Fresh Finds Country and All New Country, she garnered attention for previous singles “Higher Standards,” “Drink And Cry,” and “OK Later.” And now, all that’s left to do is to share this music with the world.
