Number_i – “GOD_i” (Official Music Video)

This exciting news comes as Number_i’s latest single “GOD_i” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart on February 5th, further solidifying the group’s rapid rise in the global music scene. The track, produced by group member Yuta Kishi, conveys a fierce message of “wishing to give the courage to take a step forward,” and features a compelling new sound for Number_i, with a melancholic top line and an addictive beat in the chorus.
The release of “GOD_i” comes just weeks after the group–Sho Hirano (27), Yuta Jinguji (27), and Yuta Kishi (29)–was honored at GQ Japan’s Men Of The Year 2024, taking home the award for “Best Music Group.”
Number_i – “No.Ⅰ (Deluxe)” Album
Number_i recently released the deluxe edition of their debut album, “No.I”—a masterful showcase of their versatility, blending ‘90s alt-rock, hip-hop, R&B, and UK-influenced indie rock, all performed in Japanese with seamless cuts of English. It features an exclusive track “HIRAKEGOMA,” a new-style pop tune that combines catchy phrases with heavy, powerful beats, alongside the Billboard Japan Hot 100 #1 single “INZM,” produced by member Yuta Jinguji and praised for its hard-hitting vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and high-energy beats. The “INZM” music video has amassed over 59 million views, further proving the group’s global appeal.
Also included in the collection, “GOAT” climbed to #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and reached the Top 10 on the US iTunes overall chart, following their US debut at Coachella in April 2024. Also included is the Sho Hirano-produced “BON,” which amassed 10 million views in just two days, peaked at #2 globally on YouTube’s daily music video chart, and reentered the Japan Hot 100 at #2. Today, the “BON” music video has over 63 million views, as they continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
Aside from streaming and chart success, Number_i have been taking over newsstands in their native country, gracing prominent magazine covers including Newsweek Japan, Elle Japan, Vogue Japan, GQ Japan, and Nylon Japan, in addition to features with Highsnobiety Japan, MAPS Japan, MAPS Korea, Numero TOKYO, 25ans, The Fashion Post and more.
