Nova May – “Pay For Your Love” single
“You got flashy cars, ugly hearts, I ain’t got time for that. I got bills to pay, songs to make, you know I’m cool with that. Oh, tell me, do I have to pay you for your love? What’s it gonna take for you to care? ‘Cause if I don’t fake it, are you gonna hate me? Do I have to pay you for your love?” – lyrics
‘Pay For Your Love’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she’s too busy making loads of money, which she uses to take care of her lover. However, her lover is more concerned with living a fancy lifestyle and being chauffeured around town than spending time with her.
“Do I have to pay you for your love?”
“‘Pay For Your Love’ is a confrontational song about a lover who is much more interested in spending money on life’s fancier things than spending time with the woman he is with.” – Nova May explained
‘Pay For Your Love’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. The likable tune possesses lush instrumentation flavored with a contemporary pop vibration. Furthermore, “Pay For Your Love” serves as the lead single to Nova May’s upcoming EP. The project features collaborations with Steve Manovski (Sigala), T.Matthias (Nathan Dawe), Rob Davis (Kylie Minogue), Max Cooke (Ellie Goulding), Lazy Joe (Alok), and Rak-Su to name a few.

Nova May was signed to UMG Decca Records as a child star. She had a Top 20 hit with The Poppy Girls, which resulted in her performing for the Queen at the Royal Albert Hall in the mid-2010s. After the split of the group, Nova continued mastering her craft by studying music at ACM in Guildford, which inspired her creativity and passion to go solo. Now equipped with a fresh new look, sound, and attitude, Nova is ready to take the pop world by storm.
