NEW POSITION – “I Want U 2”

“I Want U 2 Stay” is a marvelous tune, which consists of charismatic vocals, ear-loving melodies, and a groovy instrumentation which discharges a feel-good vibe into the atmosphere.

The song speaks on relationship issues that relate to all couples. At one point or another in any relationship, a breakup occurs. Some temporarily, others permanently. Some people go their separate way, while others stay and reconcile their differences.

“The song is a bittersweet gothic R&B jam that paints the picture of relationships that most of us have experienced (first or second-hand). Where two people are attached through habit or fear of loneliness. But there’s no real emotional intimacy. It’s about when a relationship gets past that initial honeymoon stage, and the real demons come out. Whether that be lack of presence (How did I lose you? Hiding in plain sight) or lack of communication skills. Meaning tensions are left unaired and unresolved (I’d like to fight/you find cheap flight/one-way for a rendezvous).” – New Position

“Basically, the size of the relationship becomes a weight, rather than a pleasure (like the chain that’s around my neck/like the bag that’s on my back). But habit or fear of loneliness are the main things fueling the attachment.” – New Position

We recommend adding NEW POSITION’s “I Want U 2 Stay” single to your personal playlist.
