Boundary-pushing Argentine artist Nathy Peluso (@NathyPeluso) has announced her new salsa EP “Malportada.” Not too long ago, she released an official music video for the title track, “MALPORTADA,” which features Grammy and Latin Grammy winners Rawayana (@rawayana).

“Salsa is raw and passionate; it is the music of the untamed and the indestructible, and now it also belongs to the misfits,” Nathy shares. “I have always been a rebel, a misfit. They’ve tried to tame me and correct me so many times, but my wild spirit has always led me down the best roads.”
The song “MALPORTADA” was composed in Puerto Rico. It was co-written and co-produced by Manuel Lara (Kali Uchis, Bad Bunny), Servando Primera, and Rawayana’s Beto Montenegro. “I discovered Nathy’s music because she’s always posting reels dancing salsa with her unique flow, and I love that,” Beto shares. “I’m so excited that ‘Malportada’ is gonna be on her album, because as a kid, I didn’t have the best grades in school, and that got me in trouble a ton. Now I feel very proud of who I’ve become, and even more so to be able to share it with this powerhouse Nathy “f**king” Peluso.”
“Beto has that timeless voice and the carefree swagger of a classic salsero, without making any effort,” Nathy says. “Straight from Venezuela, one of the most beautiful cradles of salsa that I love so much. Beto is the mischievous one, with a good heart and good lyrics—the perfect partner to sing with and lose all composure.”
Nathy Peluso

Nathy has recently received two Latin GRAMMY® 2025 nominations for her collaborations, including Best Urban Fusion with Tokischa on “DE MARAVISHA” and Best Urban Song with Álvaro Díaz on “XQ ERES ASÍ.” Nathy now has 16 Latin GRAMMY® nominations as well as 5 Latin GRAMMY awards.
Last year, Nathy took home three Latin GRAMMY® awards – a full sweep for Best Alternative Song for “El Dia Que Perdi Mi Juventud (Feat. Blood Orange),” Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song for “Aprender A Amar,” and Best Long Form Video for the GRASA film. Nathy is currently tied with Mercedes Sosa for the most awards for an Argentine female artist, and she is also the first woman to ever win Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song.

Traditionally, salsa has depicted femininity from a romantic, melancholic, or dreamy perspective, but with her approach, Nathy aims to reclaim the strength and defiant attitude that have historically shaped the male-driven narrative—making it entirely her own. Since the beginning of her career, Nathy has seamlessly incorporated salsa into her sonic universe with authenticity and mastery.
Nathy Peluso – “MAFIOSA” (Official Video)

In “MAFIOSA,” Nathy channeled the commanding trombones of Willie Colón; in “LA PRESA,” she co-wrote a tale of crime and passion, echoing the narrative style of Rubén Blades, supported by musicians from El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. In “PURO VENENO,” she embraced an electrifying mambo with a distinctive 80s essence, and in “Sugga,” she infused elements of salsa pop reminiscent of Miami Sound Machine. The most recent single, “EROTIKA” was inspired by the early 1990s salsa erotica scene in New York City.
With a career marked by fearless experimentation, multi-genre mastery, and critical acclaim, Nathy Peluso continues to solidify her status as one of Latin music’s most influential and forward-thinking artists. The Argentine singer, songwriter, and performer is known for her genre-defying music, blending urban, pop, hip hop, and Latin sounds. Nathy continues to push boundaries with her innovative projects, electrifying live performances, and global collaborations. Buy tickets from StubHub.com to see Nathy Peluso perform live.
