LIV – “Playin’” single
“There you go again acting like I’m just a friend. It’s like you think that this is fun for me. I can’t help but second guess like I did something wrong. Got me questioning my sanity. Somehow, he always makes an excuse. Yeah, he’s got me confused. He keeps playing hard to get and I don’t know what to do.” – lyrics
‘Playin’ tells a dramatic tale of a young woman who wants to leave her problematic relationship if things don’t change for the better. Apparently, she wants her companion to give his all or stop wasting her time. However, saying she’s gonna leave their relationship is easier said than done. Later, she admits that her partner knows what to say to make her stay.
‘Playin’’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses groovy instrumentation flavored with contemporary R&B and neo-soul elements. Furthermore, “Playin” serves as a wonderful introduction to what listeners can expect to hear from LIV in the near future.
“If you keep playin’ I’m not stayin’.”
“‘Playin’ is an anthem for all the ladies who are done letting boys play with their time and energy.” – LIV stated
