LIINKS (Georgia and Tony) is a BC-based duo from Western Canada. Not too long ago, they released a sentimental pop tune, entitled, “Without Me,” their third release of 2022.
LIINKS – “Without Me” single
‘Without Me’ was written on an 80s Yamaha VSS 30, the first instrument Tony ever got when he was a kid. He recently found it in his mom’s crawl space. Later, he came up with the initial chords. At that time, Georgia was going through a painful personal issue which resulted in having to disconnect from some of the people she loved the most. Her dilemma inspired the lyrics for the song.
‘Without Me’ contains a relationship-based narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with music lovers. The sentimental tune possesses melodic guitars and drum-laden instrumentation flavored with indietronica, alternative, and contemporary pop elements. Furthermore, “Without Me” serves as a tasty appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear from LIINKS in the near future as they continue to release new music.
LIINKS
LIINKS creates electronic pop music infused with soulful rhythm and blues that holds a distinctly raw quality. The duo writes and record their own music with both Georgia and Tony sharing production and writing duties. Their tracks and features have garnered them millions of streams online. So far, they have achieved success at Top 40 radio in both Canada and South Korea, a collaboration with Travis Barker, and recent sync placements on The D’Amelio Show and the upcoming Amazon series, Forever Summer: Hamptons.
Georgia
Georgia has written for and had vocal features with some of electronic music’s most well-respected artists including Spor, The Funk Hunters, Jay Robinson, Ephwurd, and Krafty Kuts. Also, she has had releases on mau5trap, Axtone Records, Westwood Recordings, and Firepower to name a few. Aside from their own project, LIINKS also write and produce for other artists with current releases by Lilianna Wilde and xoxoMyah. The pair have opened for and toured with Chali 2na, Bishop Briggs, Macy Gray, Talbi Kweli, and Ludacris amongst others.
Georgia
Georgia has also performed as a special guest of The Funk Hunters at many festivals including Osheaga, Fvded in the Park, and Bass Coast. Also, she has performed at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It hasn’t been easy adjusting to COVID life, but LIINKS have created over 100 songs during the pandemic thanks to their motto: when life is rugged, make art.
