Kirsty Grant (@kirstygrant), a talented singer-songwriter from Scotland and currently based in London, is making waves in the music industry. Not too long ago, she shared her latest single, “4 On The Floor.”

Pulling from Kirsty’s life experiences, “4 On The Floor” is the product of a challenging time. Representing her ability to spin a bad experience on its head, the result is an intoxicating dance-floor anthem, ready to be adored. Sharing more, Kirsty explained, “Music can act as an escape and as a form of therapy. I want listeners to listen to it and just feel good, with whatever is happening in their lives, I want them to listen and just want to dance. I want them to picture feeling free and singing along, feeling every hit and using it as a lifeline to dance to.”

“4 On The Floor” is the title track of Kirsty Grant’s sophomore EP, which channels the importance of letting off steam and living in the moment. Inspired by the wonderful world of 2000s pop, Kirsty fuses her own signature twist with gritty synths and unforgettable lyricism, resulting in a standout sound that continues to turn heads.

With “4 On The Floor,” the last track on the EP to be revealed, it completes a body of work that is ready and waiting to soundtrack future moments of euphoria. Sharing more, Kirsty explained, “This body of work truly represents me as an artist, and I know that if my younger self could listen to it, she would think I’m the pop star she dreamed of becoming. It shows me who I can be, and it makes me so excited to see how I continue to grow as an artist.”

Kirsty Grant – “Jupiter” (BTS Visualiser)

“4 On The Floor” follows “JUPITER,” a triumphant new, unapologetic pop anthem back in July 2024. Breaking free from insecurity, it well and truly saw Kirsty in her element. Sharing a little more behind the track, she explained, “I wanted a song that could manifest the confidence that I had always dreamed to have, with no self-doubt and imposter syndrome, but just feeling like a star with no limits. After learning that there are only 10 hours in a day on Jupiter from Nick the co-writer, we joked about being so confident that you can run loops around everyone else ‘doing double time like, like I’m on Jupiter’ by only needing 10 hours in a day versus everyone else’s 24 hours. I hope that it can inspire caring a little less about what people think, and unapologetically focusing on yourself and what makes you happy.”

Kirsty Grant – “Wish On Me” (Visualizer)

About “Wish On Me,” Kirsty stated, “I wanted to lean into the Disney elements as much as possible, as the song itself feels like it encapsulates the child-like/dream state of having a crush. The idea behind the title was longing for a person to like you back, and for them to take a chance and wish on me.”  The gorgeous offering was warmly received by tastemakers and media outlets.

Kirsty Grant – “Outerbody” (Official Visualizer)

About “Outerbody,” Kirsty stated, “I wanted to make a song that would make me feel out of my body. A few days before we wrote it, I was in a queue for a concert and was making a playlist on Spotify and happened to name it ‘Outerbody.’ I named it that as I was trying to piece together all of my favorite songs and noticed that every track I was adding reminded me of a concert I’d been to, memories, or felt like escapism. I would love the listener to actually experience the song and be taken out of whatever stresses they are dealing with and get lost in it. I love that the lyrics describe how you can be on your own, or surrounded by people in a club, but when your favorite song comes on, you can just be taken out of everything and be in a world of your own.”
