“They’re telling me good things will never come easy. I know the process got me building on who we are.” – lyrics

“Shoulders of Giants” reflects Kassidy’s artistic vision and the experiences that have shaped his musical journey. The lyrics are introspective and universal. Kassidy sings about a life filled with colors and the quest to discover what makes existence truly beautiful. The line, “Learning from the ways of others was what I wanted, what I needed,” speaks to the importance of shared experiences and wisdom. Through his narrative, Kassidy encourages listeners to embrace the lessons learned from those who have walked similar paths before them.

Kassidy poses a thought-provoking question: “Mirror mirror, is it holy to try to walk the same roads they walked before me?” This line embodies the struggle of following in the footsteps of others while carving one’s own identity. The message that good things may not come easy resonates deeply as Kassidy affirms, “Sometimes it’s ok to never believe it ’cause we’re not perfect.” Through his music, Kassidy inspires resilience and a desire to keep striving for personal growth: “If we turn the pages, maybe one day we’ll see we can make it if we keep on trying.”

“Shoulders of Giants” showcases Kassidy’s vocal talent while inviting listeners to reflect on their own journeys. The song is featured on Kassidy’s latest EP, “Echoes Of Myself – Volume 1.”

Teeming with the blood, sweat, and tears of an often unbelievable journey, Kassidy’s music is the sound of scars healing. He identified music as an early form of expression. School drama class offered him an early outlet as he honed his voice in multiple plays.

Kassidy absorbed inspiration from Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Gavin DeGraw. Between doing construction, fast food gigs, and a seven-year stint as a chef, Kassidy immersed himself in his craft, engaging in vocal lessons and writing and recording as much as possible. In the midst of “figuring it out,” he battled drug addiction for two years, culminating in an overdose and subsequent new beginning.

Kassidy shared music online over the years, steadily generating buzz, streams, and views. In 2023, he hustled harder than ever, “messaging a thousand people in a week on social media to collaborate.” GRAMMY® Award-nominated and Juno Award-winning multiplatinum producer duo Banx & Ranx—Soké and KNY Factory—responded, and everything changed. Blown away by his talent, Soké, and KNY Factory invited Kassidy to a music camp and the rest is history.
