Jaidyn Hurst – “Seasons (acoustic)” Single

“Seasons (Acoustic)” captivates listeners with its heartfelt lyrics and emotional depth. The song explores themes of loneliness, despair, and the longing for connection, presenting a raw depiction of human emotion. Through evocative imagery of being lost at sea, Jaidyn Hurst sings, “I’m not afraid of water, but forgot how to swim,” taking the audience on a journey through the complexities of feeling adrift.
The lyrics of “Seasons (Acoustic)” convey a vivid sense of struggle and hope. Jaidyn expresses feelings of drowning in a sinking ship, symbolizing deep emotional distress. Lines like “I’m feeling so hopeless and needing some space” resonate with anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed. Yet, the yearning for companionship shines through with the recurring plea: “Can you be my light?” This reflects a desire for support and understanding during trying times.
Despite its heavy subject matter, “Seasons (acoustic)” moves towards a more hopeful perspective. The chorus mentions counting blessings and waiting for the seasons to pass, suggesting resilience and optimism. The idea of hope being placed on “shooting stars” serves as a reminder that tomorrow can bring better days. Jaidyn crafts this sentiment beautifully, balancing the bleakness with a glimmer of light.
Overall, “Seasons (Acoustic)” encapsulates a profound emotional experience that many can relate to in their own lives. It invites listeners to reflect on their struggles while offering a sense of solidarity and hope in the face of adversity.
About Jaidyn Hurst

Jaidyn Hurst released her debut EP, “SEASONS,” in 2022 after recording some of her original music in Nashville. The three songs led her to be discovered by Joel Kipnis of Pulse Music in New York City. Together, they have finished a 10-song LP and a 6-song EP with original songs by Jaidyn.
Though Jaidyn started playing piano and guitar as a young child, she considers singing and songwriting as her main strengths. Her music and lyrics are deeply personal, a reflection of her inner self, a voice to her vulnerabilities and life’s pressures. Relatable to both young and wise souls, her music illuminates the angst, passions, and aspirations of her generation. Jaidyn’s itinerant and international upbringing played a large role in the development of her love of music as a form of universal communication, as well as language as a form of music.
Jaidyn is a student at Yale University pursuing a B.A. in Humanities and Political Science. She loves baking scones and cookies, reading fantasy and fiction novels, having long dinners with her friends and family, and going on adventurous walks and runs.
