Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist GIULIA BE (@GIULIA – 2.7M) marks her long-awaited return to music with “fool for love,” her new English-language single and the first chapter of her forthcoming trilingual and audiovisual project “GIULIA BE.”

Directed by Olivia Mucida with creative direction by Lennyn Salinas, the “fool for love” music video marks the first episode of the audiovisual series accompanying the project’s 21 tracks. Set in a bedroom where GIULIA enjoys a pajama party with friends, the video blends humor, movement, and mystery.
Between laughter and dancing, the group plays “spin the bottle” until GIULIA is challenged to call someone, and as she presses her phone screen, she suddenly disappears. What begins as a playful and carefree scene takes on a dreamlike tone, foreshadowing the cinematic and narrative atmosphere that runs throughout the project.
With captivating choreography, vibrant costumes, and a pop sensibility, the video embodies the free-spirited energy of this new era — revealing a more performative, spontaneous, and creatively daring GIULIA, who plays with her own personas while inviting audiences to dive into this multifaceted, colorful universe.
GIULIA BE – “fool for love”

“fool for love” is a light, infectious pop track that blends modern beats with GIULIA’s signature romantic lyricism. GIULIA wrote and composed it alongside her brother Dany Marinho. The song speaks about allowing yourself to feel, even when love seems like madness. Produced by Stuart Crichton, known for his work with Backstreet Boys, Kesha, Elton John, and Louis Tomlinson, the track brings a polished international sound while keeping GIULIA’s emotional authenticity at its core.
“The coolest thing you can be in this life is a fool for love,” GIULIA sums up, referencing the song’s chorus. “I wanted to start this new chapter with a song that feels fun, light, and made for dancing. ‘fool for love’ brings back my original pop side — the same one from ‘Too Bad’ — and it speaks to my philosophy on love: not being afraid to look a little foolish, because loving is always worth it. It opens the series of English songs in the project, and to me, it was the perfect way to begin, especially because I fell in love with the choreography and all the energy it carries.”

“fool for love” follows the trailer announcement, teasing the 26-year-old Latin GRAMMY nominee’s forthcoming self-titled project “GIULIA BE” – hinted to showcase the three very distinct sides to GIULIA’s songwriting and artistry – in her native tongue of Portuguese, as well as in English and Spanish.
GIULIA BE

“GIULIA BE” marks the artist’s long-awaited return to music after two years. It’s a trilingual and audiovisual work composed of 21 tracks in Portuguese, English, and Spanish — each paired with its own music video.
These videos connect to form a continuous narrative, unfolding like a series told in chapters. Each language represents a different facet of the artist: English reflects her life between Brazil and the United States; Spanish embodies emotional intensity and passion; and Portuguese revisits her roots and emotional memories.
The releases will follow this sequence — English, Spanish, and Portuguese — through the first half of 2026. After “fool for love,” the Spanish single “bahia” arrives on October 30, followed by the Portuguese single “viciada” on November 6.
GIULIA BE

This stage also marks GIULIA’s first major release as part of Sony Music’s global roster, an unprecedented position for a Brazilian artist of her generation. Under the label’s international division and with direct support from executive Afo Verde, GIULIA enjoys full creative freedom and autonomy to license her own projects.
The project “GIULIA BE” stems from an intimate immersion. GIULIA is, above all, a poet and storyteller — someone who turns experiences, emotions, and memories into music. Each composition serves as a sensitive and honest portrait of how the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist perceives the world and expresses the love that moves her.
The artist intertwines layers of herself into three distinct personas, connected by threads that form a single essence. The Brazilian GIULIA revisits her roots and emotional memories, the starting point of her story. The English-singing GIULIA represents the bridge that broadens her horizons and reflects her life between Brazil and the United States. The Spanish-singing GIULIA embodies the language she learned by ear and embraced with her heart, transforming it into a creative refuge.
GIULIA BE

“I realized that no GIULIA exists without the others. The combination of these versions in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is what makes me whole. Many of these songs were born in very intimate moments, some even written with my older brother, Danyel, which makes it all the more genuine and special,” says GIULIA.
“These are songs I’ve been collecting over the years. Some I wrote nine years ago, others just four months ago. They’re fragments of deeply personal stories, not always about me, that reveal an inner abundance of perspectives and musical styles. That’s why I gave the project my own name, it’s the truest reflection of everything that happens inside my mind every day,” GIULIA adds.
Created alongside her brother Dany Marinho and producers who have worked with artists such as Rihanna, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Madonna, “GIULIA BE” showcases not only GIULIA’s evolution as a singer and songwriter but also her international expansion — a project designed to resonate with audiences across Brazil, Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
