“OLDER” is a dreamy breakup anthem layered with bright synths and guitars over a vintage texture, reminiscent of The 1975 and Chappell Roan. With its instantly catchy hooks and nostalgia-tinged production, “OLDER” showcases Germano’s undeniable growth as a songwriter. His breathy, emotional vocal delivery shines over the atmospheric instrumentation, making the record the perfect soundtrack for a late-afternoon drive down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

About the meaning behind the song, Germano says: “‘OLDER’ is about when I got dumped by someone and, after some time, started realizing all the bad parts about that relationship and that person. By the time they wanted to get back together, I had fully moved on and, if anything, felt sorry for how miserable they were doing without me. I just let time do its healing after we parted ways, hence the title of the song. In a way, ‘OLDER’ is a continuation of ‘sorry i’m a mess’, where I’m the desperate one longing for that person right after the breakup. I close ‘sorry I’m a mess’ singing, ‘I know it’s a matter of time / Until you look in the mirror / And wish I was by your side’. ‘OLDER’ is about how that prediction became true.”

Germano learned to play the piano at age six and soon after started writing songs. Since starting his career by posting covers on YouTube, he has steadily built a dedicated following online, amassing over one million streams across all platforms with a string of independently released singles.
Germano takes pride in being a full-package D.I.Y. artist, writing and recording all lyrics and melodies from his bedroom. His dreamy pop sound incorporates elements of different genres, such as rock and hip-hop, while his honest, often biting, lyricism touches on topics like heartbreak, solitude, and anxiety. In addition, his background as a trained actor while living in Los Angeles for over a decade led him into photography and filmmaking – he creates and edits all of his 2000s-inspired visuals.
