“I wrote this song a few months after I met my wife because I realized that there aren’t many love songs for the LGBTQ+ community. I want to scream about my love for her from the rooftops so everyone can hear. This song came out of a need and a desire to see myself represented in popular Country music. When I couldn’t find the song I was looking for, I wrote one.
Just like the song itself, I wanted to see myself represented in a way that I didn’t get to see when I was growing up. So, it was important that I make a video for ‘Gemini June’ that showcased LGBTQ+ relationships.” – Fimone explained
