“You’re the Best Kind of Bad”: Dive Into Eletto’s New “Fool” Single

Eletto (@elettoband) is comprised of best friends Mila Whitaker (vocals/guitar) and Zoe Aradipioti (vocals/piano) from South Yorkshire, England. Not too long ago, they released a blissful alternative-folk single, “Fool.”

“Mama told me not to play around, she said to let them beg and never forgive! Oh, oh, what he did and I can tell from his face that he’s up to no good. My honey, my love, but mama told me not to play around. Treat me like a fool and I’ll be a fool for you. I see right through as long as she’s number two. You’re the best kinda bad and it’s driving me mad. But, I’ll be a fool for you.” – lyrics

Radiating acoustic warmth and a bright ‘70s folk sound, “Fool” comes complete with Eletto’s soaring vocals that captivate listeners with its Country-soul vibration. The bittersweet tale is evidence that finding the one for you isn’t an easy task. Sometimes, you have to go through the best kind of bad before you arrive at anything good. From experience, Eletto passionately sings, “You’re the worst for me! The best kind of bad for me. Oh, it’s toxic love can’t you see?”

“Fool” is the follow-up to Eletto’s debut single, “Northern Sun.” Both songs serve as an appetizer to what listeners can expect to hear on Eletto’s upcoming debut EP, set to be released in late 2024.

“‘Fool’ is a Country-inspired track taking reference from Patsy Celine and Emmylou Harris, with a lot of heartaches and a little bit of humor. It’s a classic tale about going against every good piece of relationship advice you’ve ever been given and falling in love with the bad boy.” – Eletto stated

Eletto blends rich vocal harmonies and melancholy lyrics into their nostalgia-fueled songs. Their sound calls to mind the likes of First Aid Kit and The Staves. When performing live, the pair often keep it stripped back with an acoustic guitar and piano, allowing space for their compelling vocals.
