ARIA & Korean Star NANA Launch Remixable Music, Kicking Off a New Era for Creative IP with the Global Aria Remix Contest

Aria (@ariaprotocol), in collaboration with NANA (@jin_a_nana), the acclaimed Korean artist and actress, announced the launch of remixable music assets on Aria, the onchain IP protocol enabling investors to access and earn from iconic IP real-world assets. This represents a new chapter in the evolution of onchain creative rights, remix culture, and investment.

NANA, known for her work with K-pop group After School, her subunit Orange Caramel, and a growing acting career, brings three tracks — “GOD,” “Hurt” and her latest “Daylight” — to Aria for the first remixable music IP launch on the protocol. All three songs are featured on NANA’s latest EP, “The 1st Album ‘Seventh Heaven 16’.”

The assets will be the foundation of the inaugural Aria Global Remix Contest, opening in November, where producers and creators worldwide can remix any of the three tracks by NANA for a chance to win prizes from a $15,000 prize pool and a worldwide release. Income from the released remixes will be tokenized on the Aria Protocol, with net royalties paid to remixers and holders of $APL, the first intellectual property real-world asset token on Aria.

Turning IP into remixable economies

Aria Protocol, built on Story the L1 blockchain, tokenizes IP rights to iconic works, enabling investors to access income associated with those rights. Their first intellectual property real-world asset token, $APL, launched in June and is backed by income rights to songs performed by iconic artists, including BLACKPINK, Justin Bieber, BTS, and more.

Now Aria is moving into remixable IP, facilitating collaboration by enabling creators to remix stem files to NANA’s 3 tracks, with royalties generated by the remixes flowing to winning creators as well as those holding and staking the $APL token. Investors can therefore share directly in the potential value each new version generates, along with remixers themselves. This builds towards a future where rights holders, retail investors, institutions, creators, and communities can engage with iconic IP and collectively share in its upside. The model represents a fundamental shift in how music is produced and valued, bridging fan creativity with financial participation for the first time.

In her own words, NANA explains, “This album focuses less on glamour and more on the music itself — it honestly captures the questions I’ve asked myself and the answers that followed. I’m truly glad that, through Aria Protocol, this album can invite both creators and fans to explore and appreciate music from new perspectives. It’s deeply meaningful to take part in a new form of culture where art and the value of music grow side by side.”

David Kostiner, Co-Founder of Aria, adds, “Partnering with NANA to launch remixable IP on Aria Protocol shows how technology can transform music assets into living economies. It’s an honor to open new pathways for NANA’s millions of fans and co-creators worldwide to engage directly with her art, her music, and her creative legacy.”

The Aria Global Remix Contest, featuring NANA

Launching in November 2025, the contest invites producers worldwide to remix “GOD,” “Daylight” or “Hurt.” Remixes are uploaded to YouTube and submitted via Aria Protocol, with $APL token holders and NANA and her team voting to select the top three entries.

The first-place winner will receive $10,000 USD and a signed CD from NANA.

All submissions have the chance to have their remix officially released by a label worldwide, with net income shared between the remixer and $APL holders.

Winners will be announced in December 2025 on ariaprotocol.xyz.

The future of music rights access

The Arial Global Remix Contest builds on Aria Protocol’s growing IP ecosystem, which began with $APL, the world’s first IP RWA (Intellectual Property Real-World Asset) token representing partial royalty rights to 48 tracks to date performed by Justin Bieber, BLACKPINK, Miley Cyrus, and BTS. $10.95M was raised via StakeStone LiquidityPad in February to acquire the rights which were then tokenized on Aria, with stakers of the tokens earnings royalties generated by the underlying IP daily. Following this, Aria secured $15 million in strategic and seed funding for the protocol from Polychain Capital, Neoclassic, Story Foundation, and other partners.

With remixable IP, Aria moves beyond passive IP royalties to a model where creators, rights holders, and investors co-create and share value as music evolves. For the industry, it signals a shift from one-time transactions to ongoing revenue flows powered by fan-driven creativity. Within the $80 trillion global IP economy, this approach shows how music rights can be actively monetized, turning static assets into collaborative, living works.

About Aria Protocol

Aria enables investors to access and earn from iconic IP RWA (Real-World Assets). Built on Story, the purpose built L1 blockchain for IP, Aria brings IP rights, starting with music, onchain as fungible, liquid tokens that are tradable and yield-bearing. Aria Protocol Labs Inc., founded by music industry veterans including David Kostiner (co-founder of Counsel LLP and IODA, acquired by Sony Music), leads Aria Protocol’s development and strategy under mandate from the Aria Foundation. In 2025, the first tokenized IP asset, $APL, was launched on Aria Protocol representing royalties from partial rights tied to songs performed by Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and BLACKPINK. Soon the token will also be linked to remixes of 3 tracks from renowned South Korean artist and actress, NANA.
