Alexandra John (@alexandrajohnmusic – Liza and Weston Cain) is an LA-based brother and sister, twin-sibling duo from San Francisco, California. Not too long ago, they celebrated their birthday with the release of a deeply personal and uplifting single “Me & You,” inspired by their childhood and creative journey.

“Me & You” is a reflection on the connection Alexandra John shared since childhood and the space they’ve carved as individuals. The track is a celebration of their unconditional love and creative growth.
“Me & You” began during Liza Alexandra’s time at LAAMP (Los Angeles Academy for Artists & Music Production), a nine-month intensive program founded by Stargate’s Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Erikson. Co-written by Liza, Aarron Harmon, and Jasmin Peters, “Me & You” started as a stripped-down ballad written from a place of emotional honesty.
In her own words, Liza explains, “When I started writing it, I realized I was telling the story of growing up with my brother. It became about my experience of finding my voice during LAAMP, separate from Weston, while still knowing we’ll always have each other—no matter what gets thrown our way.”

After Liza completed the original version, Weston was inspired to reimagine the track. In true Alexandra John fashion, the siblings came together to give the song a signature twist—transforming it into a high-energy, feel-good dance record.
“When Weston first heard it, I cried,” says Liza. “That was powerful for me—something I created alone still resonated with him. And when he put his spin on it, it brought our story full circle.”
Weston adds, “I wanted to keep the emotion of Liza’s original version but take the listener on a journey. I sped it up and added strings and dance elements—something that feels cinematic and euphoric. It’s about life being easier when you have someone you love to go through it with.”
“Me & You” captures a rare kind of relationship—whether it’s between siblings, best friends, or partners—that withstands the highs and lows of life. The result is a song that is both heartwarming and danceable, designed to leave listeners feeling joyful and nostalgic.
“This is a feel-good, heart-filled dance bop,” says Liza. “I hope people sing and dance to it with someone they love—or think of that person and reach out to say thank you.”
